European Dancing
At the Medieval Faire you will be able to learn dances from various parts of Europe, some requiring partners, some not requiring partners. These dances are easy, and enjoyable, so come to learn and enjoy!!!
The no-partner dances are from the Balkans (Greece, former Yugoslavia, etc.,) and are basic peasant-style line dances. The Renaissance dances, all require partners, but fairly easy versions of these will be taught.
Gaming/Human Chess
Games have been an integral part of society for thousands of years. Come learn the intriguing histories of a variety of board, card and dice games, and find out how they evolved into many of the games we play today. Demonstrations will occur throughout the weekend.
One featured game event at the Medieval Faire will be Living Chess, where the pieces will be played by YOU! Come witness, or take part in what promises to be a rollicking spectacle. 3:00 p.m. Saturday in the Wedding Pavilion.
Bardic Arts
Musicians, singers, jugglers, dancers, and storytellers help make our faire a wonderfully enjoyable place. Our entertainers range all the way four piece groups on authentic medieval instruments, to harpists playing celtic tunes, to a master storyteller who is just as entertaining for adults as he is for children. Whether you sit down to enjoy a performance, pause for a bit in front of a wandering performer, or just hear some live music while you are busy with all the other things our faire has to offer, our bards will add to your pleasure.
